Shades of Red

This is a poem, written by Jade Hong, inspired by Alexandria Phillips.

Shades of Red

I dream in shades of red
My day crash-coursing
Through my head
I dream in shades of red
In my dreams I fly high
Forget the shoes of lead
The sky is waiting in shades of red

I dream in shades of red
They are to me
My water and bread
I dream in shades of red
No blues or greens
The only color in my head
My world is waiting in shades of red

I dream in shades of red
The way I felt
The things he said
I dream in shades of red
Close my eyes
I’m off to bed
His face is waiting in shades of red

THE END
